The Sisterhood of the Traveling (Personal Progress) Purse

Kate, my daughter has a very creative and talented Young Women Personal Progress leader.  She creates beautiful works of wonders to encourage the girls to set goals and then work hard to achieve them.

Amy came up with this fun "Traveling PP Purse" to allow the young women to "show off" what they have been working on.  I thought it was a great way to inspire my daughter and others to move forward, just like the purse!

Amy created the traveling purse out of an old pair of jeans.  Lots of ideas of how to do that on Pinterest.

Included in the purse are a couple of journals for recording individual progress of each young woman.  They are asked to write about the fun they are having as well as any encouragement they might have for the next person the purse travels to.

They might choose to add a little something to the purse that relates to the goal they've just accomplished.

After two weeks the young woman passes it along to another young woman, hence the name of the traveling purse!

Kate enjoyed participating in the traveling purse project and actually completed 2 of her own PP projects.  A success in my book!

I love leaders and teachers that inspire my children!

Thank You Very Much!

It's that time again.  Time to say a huge THANK YOU to all those school teachers, administrators and PTA Personnel.

I had ALOT of thank yous to give so I chose a quick, fairly inexpensive way to say thanks.

99 cent basket from Hobby Lobby
Simply Lemonade (single serving size) from local grocers
Fun straws
Cello bag
Bakers Twine
and my favorite treat,
Sweet Tooth Fairy Cake Bites (under $3.00)

I attached this tag, (which I loved).

Popped the goods in the basket and was ready to deliver my thanks!  I feel very fortunate to be able to have such great people in my life and the lives of my children.
